Protect cells in excel

You may find a need someday to protect some cells in excel, but NOT the whole worksheet. It's not TOO difficult but may also not be completely intuitive the first time you try it..

Select all cells, format cells and uncheck Locked

Select the Cells or cell ranges you want to protect, format and check lock

Protect the worksheet and select worksheet protection options
