Aspen Red Forest, hand-made entirely with MS Excel 2007

Last week, I shared a pixel art piece I created using MS Paint, and I was truly grateful for the warm response from the community 💖 This time, I took on a new challenge, creating a fully animated pixel art scene using only Microsoft Excel 2007. Yes, Excel! Over the past week, I manually filled 320x200 cells, across 20 sheets, using just 9 colors. I then compiled 20 screenshots into a GIF to showcase the animation. The final artwork exists solely as a Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (.xlsx) file.

Easter egg for office workers: if you go onto Excel and press ctrl+right, then ctrl+down, you will reach cell XFD1048576. If you put a dot in there, then ctrl+A and fill every cell in black, you can then print 34 million black pages from your office printer and get fired

Okay so in my Computer Applications class we learned about conditional formatting in Excel, where you can change the color of a cell by inputting certain values.

We're supposed to use it to model heat gradients in metals, but I found a better application:

Not sure about trying to job hop three times within a year (YMMV), but absolutely don't be afraid to job hop in pursuit for a higher wage. I switched jobs twice within 6 months and over doubled my salary.
