Just a dog sport stuff update:
We've been solely working Grim's bite mechanics over the last couple of months. Teaching him to hit hard, bite hard, and have nice full grip. Him being a super forward defensive dog has made this quite a challenge, but we've been finding some ways to work around that.
I also had the pleasure of doing some decoy work with my first non-herding dog over the weekend. I've really been enjoying learning proper decoying techniques, and now starting to learn how to develop young dogs. I'm super grateful for every handler and, my trainer especially, that has allowed me the opportunity to work different dogs and get some mileage in the suit. Going back to DFW this weekend to work on some things with Grim and hopefully work some different club dogs while I'm there.
I can't help but think back at how I almost talked myself out of getting involved in this world, and I'm happy to say I don't regret it one bit ❤️
