“Please tell me you understand Balance.” Chucks voice was soft and comforting something that drew you into him from the beginning. You ran your fingers through your Y/H/C hair before looking at the diamond ring on your left hand. Chuck and you had been married for a couple years now, long before you knew he was God, not like that changed anything.
“I understand Chuck… I really do I just… you’re right this is the best and only way.” You stood sighing. He gave you a smile, his blue eyes twinkling slightly, he never made it hard for you to remember that he loved you. He followed you up to the bedroom and helped you pack your things.
“It won’t be for long, you’ll be in my arms in no time love. Promise.” He spoke only after you were all packed and about to walk out the door. You turned and hugged him tight, tears slipping from your face. Chuck ran his fingers through your hair and you felt a calming sensation slip over you. He always used his grace to comfort or heal you whenever you got sick. It was always the mercy never the wraith. You kissed him and looked around the house you two shared one last time before walking out and getting into your car.
You knew Amara was going to be a problem as soon as Chuck told you about her. Honestly you wanted to go to the Winchesters and scream, little did you know they had no clue what they had done. So, now here you were leaving the man you loved because it was no longer safe for you to be with him. Not with a psycho sister running around at least. The safehouse that one of the angels set up for you was nice enough though, very remote. It was somewhere you could get used to.
You jumped awake after hearing a loud bang, fear ran through your veins. You had been living alone for around a month, sleeping without the safety of chucks arms wasn’t easy but you reminded yourself that it wasn’t going to be for very long. Now the fear was overloading your system as you got out of bed. You didn’t want to think about what could be outside the door, you hoped it was just a bear as you grabbed the shotgun. As you walked out you saw a figure of a woman standing at the little table by the door, she had the picture of Chuck and you in her hands.
“It’s amazing to me how he could just forget about me so easily… lock me up and forget about me.” Her voice was soft. “He didn’t even have the decency to tell his wife about me.” She scoffed tossing the picture over her shoulder with disgust. When she turned to look at you she smiled. “So ordinary… what did he see in you?”
“Amara… please Chuck won’t be happy if you do this.” She laughed at your words.
“Stupid girl. I’m done trying to please him… I just want his attention, and I think I found the best way to do that.” She walked over to you, she was dressed in a black floor length dress. It was fit to her figure yet modest. She gently ran her fingers through your hair.
The next thing you knew you were in an old warehouse, the cold air slowly freezing you in just your nightgown and robe. Amara seems to enjoy watching you suffer in the cold. That’s when the thunder came, it shook the ground terribly. The lighting lit up the whole room as the doors to the warehouse burst open. Chuck walked in wearing an olive-green cargo jacket over a red hoodie which was over a white t-shirt, faded blue jeans, and Chuck Taylors. The sight of your husband made your heart skip, then you saw his eyes shining a fierce blue. It was a little terrifying, you’ve never seen him use his grace in such an angry way.
“Amara… you can trash my churches, smite my angels, even mess with those Winchesters, but you’ve just crossed the line.” His voice was deep and powerful. His eyes went to you. “To use my wife as bait to lure me out. That’s below the belt.”
“You didn’t give me much of a choice… you were too busy hiding for me when I came out. Then you were plotting with the Winchesters to lock me back up again.” She walked over to you gently running her fingers down your cheek. “Why her, brother?” Chucks eyes looked from you to her.
“Amara please. What do you want? You have my attention… let her go back to her home.”
“No!” Amara yelled now making you jump slightly, you wrestled with the rope trying to get out. “You ignored me… you locked me up and what? You think everything is going to be okay now that I finally have your attention. You’ve been so caught up first with playing ‘God’ and now you’re playing house with a human.” She scoffed then. “I should kill her.” The thunder began to rumble louder the warehouse shook and pieces of the ceiling started to fall.
“You wouldn’t dare.” He growled walking closer to her. She smirked as he got in her face. “What do you want?” He placed a hand on her shoulder, she softened slightly and so did he. “Let’s go home Amara. I promise it’ll be okay.” He spoke softly to her.
“Home? Heaven?” He nodded at her. “You have to let Balance go though… I don’t think you’re making a very good first impression.” She moved away allowing Chuck to get to you. He ran to you snapping his fingers. You were back home with him, your home not some safe house, the house you loved and truly missed. The one he wrote his Supernatural series at, the place that you would curl up and read through his drafts, changing things without him knowing.
“Are you really taking her back to heaven?” He sighed but nodded anyway.
“I have to keep you safe. Don’t worry about me I’ll be around.” He kissed you gently on the lips before snapping his fingers. You sighed but unpacked loving being back in the house you’re in love with. You were happy despite the fact that Chuck wasn’t going to be around very much. What did you expect when you were married to God?
