Two days... Two damn days. That’s how long Sam and I have been gone; a stupid werewolf was terrorizing a small town not far from the bunker, but leaving your teenage daughter home alone - it makes you worry extra.
“Dean, would you take a second to breathe? You’re damn near blue in the face.” Sam laughed as I looked at him, sighing while rubbing my calloused hand over my face.
“Sammy, come on, hurry up and eat your damn rabbit food. And you should be worried just as much as I am - she’s your niece!” I scoffed slightly as he rolled his eyes, sticking his plastic fork into the gross salad as I glanced at my phone for probably fiftieth time tonight.
“Okay, Dean, you’re giving me a headache. Call her, or text her so you can stop freaking out. Y/N is a responsible kid, plus she’s stayed home by herself before anyway-” Just before Sam could finish defending his niece from her father’s fears, my phone began to ring... It was Y/N’s ringtone.
“I’ll be back-” I quickly exited the small booth, clicking answer and cleared my throat, already feeling tears develop in my eyes as I exited the cafe and stepping out into the cool night air.
“Hey, baby girl..” My father’s voice cooed, as I tried to hold back the suffocating sob in my throat yet a small, forced cough left my trembling lips.
“D...Daddy..” I hiccuped into the phone while more tears slid down my reddened cheeks while I tightened the death grip on my cell phone, my eyes darting around as my father’s voice invaded my thoughts.
“Baby? Sweetheart, why are you crying? What’s wrong?” My father’s protective side already showing as I cried harder - if only I had listened to him...
“I’m sor... I’m sorry, daddy.” I cried more as shuffling came from the background, which was followed the purr of Baby’s engine and a car door slamming. I flinched at the sounds as I curled harder in on myself, my body already shaking like a leaf.
“Baby, you have to talk to daddy, what happened?” His voice was calm, but I could hear the edge on it as I listened to the somewhat soothing sound of tires against gravel, along with the heavy breathing of my father.
“He... He tried to get me... I need your help, daddy..” I quivered as I listened to the low growl of my father, along with the sudden speeding up of Baby. My tears flowed as I listened to my father’s breathing; even if it was the sound of him most likely about to kill something or someone - I found it soothing.
“Honey, you just keep talking to daddy, alright? What happened exactly..?” My father’s somewhat shaking voice asked as I hiccuped again whilst sniffling. Hugging my legs closer I sighed into the phone - he was going to kill me.
“I.. While going to school, I was dating this boy-” I listened to a sharp inhale as well as a grumble of something, “you’re so grounded” yet I decided to not pay attention to that as I cleared the lump in my throat.
“He... He came over a day after you and Uncle Sammy left, but I didn’t tell him where he lived! I didn’t tell him anything, he just showed up and he... He...” My voice caught another sob rattled my chest.
I tried to listen for my father’s voice again as I quietly let out a “daddy..?” Yet it was met with the sound of someone who hung up... I felt more tears well up in my eyes as I threw my phone away from me, pressing my body further into the corner of my fathers’ bedroom.
“Y/N/N! Baby, where are you?!” A panicked yell came from my room, as heavy boots ran around. I felt my heart slightly flutter as I slowly got up, my body still shaking as I moved as fast as my legs could carry me.
“Da...Daddy!” I shouted in a hoarse voice, just as I opened his bedroom door, down the hall, I could see him as I trudged out into the long corridor. He spun around quickly, as I noticed the flash of tears in his eyes as he quickly walked; which turned into a run towards me.
“Oh my god, Y/N..” My father’s voice cooed as our bodies collided, my own shaking as he wrapped his large around me, pulling me as physically close as he could.
“Sh, sh, sh, it’s okay.. It’s okay, daddy’s here.” He whispered into my hair as I clutched onto his flannel, burring my face into his chest as his chin rested against my crown while small sobs escaped his lips.
“Dad... Daddy, he tried to.. To..”
“Sh, I know baby... And I’m going to kill the son of a bitch, okay? Daddy’s not going to never let anyone or anything ever hurt you. So from now on, no boys.. Not until you’re in your thirties, got it?” My father’s stern voice came out as I slowly looked up at him, tears still escaping my e/c eyes as I nodded.
His calloused thumb running over the trail as he moved closer, pressing his lips to my forehead.
“And you’ll be coming with Uncle Sammy and I on our next hunting trip, okay? I know I said I didn’t want you to come - ever - but I think you should learn a few things...” He sighed as I nodded again, feeling him take a step back and shrug off his flannel, wrapping it around my shivering figure.
Just as he wrapped one of his arms around me again, his phone rang and a frown appeared on his lips.
“Hey, Sam... No, I came home - well, yeah Y/N/N was in trouble. No, you and I will take care of it, we need to pay a visit to someone tomorrow morning.” My father growled as I smiled softly, wrapping my arms tightly around his waist as I rested my head against his chest; listening to his heartbeat as I closed my eyes.
