She already felt something common on Tensa, but its better than meeting no one from the Seireitei, weapon spirit ( zanpakuto ) or not. Still, what is he doing here in this place? That won’t matter anymore as long as she’s not bothering him.

Why are you interested in this job? (Sales Associate): Er… I–like books? I tend to read in my spare time, so I believe it would be nice to be able to… I don’t know. Suggest some of the books to customers with firsthand experience. I cannot say I have exactly… sold anything before, but er, why not start now or some such.

Are you able to work a 7-hour shift by yourself, if you have to?: Yes. I have no problems with being alone and handling anything that may arise with myself. It’s more of an expertise of mine than sales. I am quite a speedy person, even with what this city has taken away from me, so I could quickly hop from place to place if required. Regardless, any sort of stress of working by myself would be no issue, so long as I am able to keep my phone on my person.

Are you able to keep the store’s books neat and orderly?: Yes. I have never had an issue with organization, I would simply need to be told what way to do so.

Do you have any retail or customer service experience?: Oh I answered this already didn’t I. I do not. I didn’t particularly… hm. “Get out much”, I suppose, before coming here. There was not much I could exactly have pitched to sell, let alone anyone I could have pitched it to.

     “Uhh… Be careful where you step, I think some of it got over there.” Not even close to his most dignified kill. He’s covered with strangely colored blood, entrails, things he doesn’t want to think about. And exhausted on top of that, so he drops to sit, swords still in his hands, forearms resting over his knees. The hollow was slippery in more than the literal sense. He’s been hunting it for weeks.

     “You could’ve jumped in any time, you know.”

     It’s a rare criticism, and not even one he means. If he couldn’t catch this thing more elegantly, it’s no one’s fault but his own. But it helps to snap. For some reason.

     He finds a clean patch of sleeve and swipes a cheek against it before some of the gore can drip toward his mouth. Which doesn’t matter at all once it starts to disintegrate. He’s grateful for that, at least. He was seconds away from asking to borrow Tensa’s shower.

     Another minute of sitting and he’s pushing back to his feet, thoughtlessly settling his blades back into place. “Hey, you want to get something to eat?”

     The body of water near the Bamboo Grove, known as the Lake of the Koi, was a quiet spot that Ragna occasionally ended up going to after training. Something about the serenity of the lake helped put his worries at ease, easily losing track of time just by observing the fish below the surface. Every now and then he manages to get a glimpse of the castle resting beneath the water, but the Reaper has yet attempted to make the journey down below to see it. Yet while he was contemplating on whether or not to go for it this time, a new visitor managed to come up during his distraction. His gaze finally shifted over once his concentration was broken, taking notice of the young looking man staring at the water.
