Protest poster i had to make for school, but i genuenly love how it turned out

Some original concepts were about how dont see the flag see the person type stuff, or how some homophobes just see the flag and instantly ignore everything a person has to say, but i couldnt get the wording right. The centre design has stayed the same though

Thankfully it was bright enough outside so I could take a picture of this poster (it's actually foamboard) before reframing it! It is fairly obscure, so there isn't much information describing its exact connection to the Greenham Common Women's Peace Camp (UK-based), but I am putting my faith in how it's archived. This article by Julie Bindel for The Guardian describes the context + urgency of this movement beautifully- a 1981 protest against allowing the US to store nuclear weapons on British land.

DIY STURDY 3D COLORFUL DOLLAR TREE SIGN: Free Balls for Republican Congress who have Lost Theirs

Materials used:

Poster Board

Black paper

2 packs letters

Glue stick

$6.99 for 28 ping pong balls

E6000 Adhesive

This eye catching sign was one of the more popular signs at the #NoKings protest because the message was accurate, colorful, visually different, and funny.

The only criticism I heard was that the balls were too large.
