Subject - Bug Report

Description - Sprite prototyped with remains of deceased paternal figure, resulting in unprototyped kernelsprite, to player confusion and distress. Consort later found to have been affected by original attempt at prototyping, resulting in abnormally powerful and intelligent Consort with max-integer stat values. Consort refused direct engagement with Dersite monarchy until malicious outside force (potential Green Sun origin/affiliation) interfered in final conflict.

This thing happens when whatever you try to prototype is on the No Fucking Prototyping That list. First guardians (and their genetic offshoots), deities, True Self Players, SkaiaNet Employees, frogs and too large objects are subject to the prototyping ban. The full list is in the manual, addendum P.

Well, no they are not. But some Prototyping... do that. A surprising amount of self-Prototyping ends up that way. And fictional characters, too. It's kind of a shock to a living being in general.

so... quick question, is there any way to get captchalogue codes out of sprites?

I had some cybernetics, it ate them to produce a cybersprite. this is fine, the problem is it took my arm in the process and I'd like that back.

Nope. No mechanic for that. Once it is in the Sprite, it is absorbed completely.

Good news is that loot equipment prioritizes what you need, so an arm prosthetic is almost guaranteed as a reward for the first Dungeon you get to.

like, THE frog. the one the universe is in. while I was in said universe.

this won't have any nasty repercussions when my co-players make their sprites right? given they're also... in the frog.

Tell me you are playing on a years outdated patch without telling me you are playing on a years outdated patch.

Anyway, nah, it will not do anything nasty or interesing for your co-Players' Prototyping.

But let me get you in on a secret: The final Reckoning battle? That will hurt on a metaphysical level. Granted, that accounts for the coresponding Prototyping Towers on the Dream Moon not falling apart first. Wink wink nudge nudge.

Are sprites necessary for progression?? I know this probably counts as PS but I prototyped with a Lemming to try to get the imps to jump off cliffs, I forgot that my sprite would do that too, so now I don’t have a sprite, will that affect anything?

You are basically venturing into the game without the "Let Me Tell You About The Tutorial" NPC.

So, you're not fine, but you're not blocked.

Also, Sprites don't get fall damage.
