it's sorta like that!! enj's parents invite him and a "plus one" to their yearly dance/party/whatevershitrichpeoledo and enj has to go because they paid his flat and school and that. and the one meeting is all that's required to keep that. 

and he knows he needs to bring someone and ends up asking r because cour/ferre he grew up with and his parents know their an item and everyone else just didn't seem right.
