Black Banner
"Ok, so your blog is amazing! It is unique and you are too. Your taste in music, art, and literature rock. "
Thank you! I don’t usually get praise like this. And that’s just as well because it’s not the reason why i do this. Rather, this is part of a conscious effort to provide . A L T E R A T I V E . to your amateur mainstream or industry standard content. Alternative means, staying off of standards as much as possible.
Attention is nice, and a thumbs-up is always welcome. Then again it’s at least as satisfying to challenge all those clannish creatures out there, and the trend worshippers, and all the well-adapted herds, majorities and communities brave and foolhardy enough to stray off the beaten path and wind up here. Such personage is typically quite spoiled and eagerly pandered to, and not checked and challenged seriously enough, or often enough for that matter. Oh no. Not by a long shot. That's what this is for. A M O N G . O T H E R . T H I N G S .
This, here: it’s a black banner. With a fanged skull on it. My purrsonal banner.
It’s something you can compare to the S E C O N D . B O O K . O F . A R I S T O T L E , also called . L I B E R . S E C U N D U S . by some. It’s an unusual artifact like the C O E N A . C Y P R I A N I . An unlikely thing you run into at midnight, after moving the First and the Seventh of Four above a torch-lit effigy, standing in front of a . F I N I S . A F R I C A E . A spring-loaded thing that, among the greedy, vainglorious and reckless, may have a reputation for having the looks, the touch and the taste of a thousand scorpions.
An unruly, uncanny thing meant to blacken groping paws of over-confident, absent-minded, self-complacent readers when they touch it. To blacken lazy tongues licking blackened fingers. And busy mouths mostly filled with moos and bleats. And dreary insides of mostly empty heads.
S E C R E T U M . F I N I S . A F R I C A E . will bring you safely right up to here. M A N U S . S U P R A . I D O L U M . A G E . P R I M U M . E T . S E P T I M U M . D E . Q U A T U O R . will take you from here, solely at your own peril.
