it never fails to amaze her, hearing of the self righteous acts committed by men.  just as it never fails to bore her. of course, amelia was always more than willing to offer ear for the hardships the president had endured during the day. ❝ you should've socked him right in the nose ❞ but she'd be the first to admit that when that door shut, when it was just the two of them within the hearth of colonial one, she enjoyed letting everything else fall out of their gravitational pull. they didn't get nearly enough time for one another anymore, and while that was to be expected, it still made the captain quite terribly sad.
