I think we've just gotten part of the answer to "what did she have to gain by accusing him for abuse?"

prudencean replied to your post “Case against Doug Stanhope was dismissed :)”
I've read that AH asked "stipulation for dismissal" but I'm not certain what has been done since.
Shocker.
All it was was just another PR move to try and combat his article. An article which was, by the way, proven true as soon as she sold that video.
And if any media pick up and run stories about the dismissal (they won’t, probably), she’ll release a statement along the lines of ‘I’m too emotionally fragile to continue fighting Johnny’s goons. I am a victim. I am a hero.’

I don't think I have seen Sam Waterston this young before :)
I just checked out his current ‘mature’ IMDb portrait (and profile), and yes. :)
From James Ivory in Conversation (2005), p.123:
Robert Emmet Long to James Ivory: Sam Waterston plays James, the sensitive Limping Man who ... [major plot spoiler]. You didn’t discover Sam Waterston, but when you cast him in Savages, he was basically a stage actor at a very early point in his film career. Two years later he played Nick Carraway in the [1974] film version of The Great Gatsby [opposite Robert Redford as Gatsby] and became a movie star...
James Ivory: ...He’s the best, the richest – in terms of style – high-WASP actor we have in the United States. I think there’s no one better at projecting worldliness or a kind of clearheaded sophistication. He lives in the wrong period, almost, because today’s American directors don’t seem much interested in those qualities.
In Savages (which, so far, I’ve watched only once), I was intrigued that SW’s ‘Limping Man’ character happened to be named James, like the director...

Personally, I think the biggest problem in fandoms is the attacking the fans who dare to have a different opinion than embrace what is popular to like. And it’s the same in every fandom.
that’s very true and probably the root of all our problems, haha. I think I’m just still having a hard time getting used to that because my previous fandom was a tiny one (like literally 10 people) where we were all friends and had similar opinions on everything. this big tumblr fandom thing is so difficult sometimes :’)
prudencean mentioned you in a post “Music & lyrics meme I’ve been tagged by @exponential63...”
(Good thing too because all I’ve done today is cry for Alan Rickman)
@prudencean *sending tissues, a big hug, and more music* I’m sad for your sadness, but glad if the meme worked as a distraction. xx

I doubt it, but you never know. :)
;) The exhibition the post was publicising closed in the summer (yet another thing I missed in my futile year/life). So this must be an old post, and you’re most likely right...

He was Arthur in Merlin. I don’t see the resemblance myself, but there was a time Mads’ tag was full with similar statements so it’s not just anon who thinks so.
oh okay.. [googles Arthur in Merlin]. yeah I don’t really see it other than them both having cheekbones? this guy still has a baby face.
