i don't think you guys understand the sheer comedic potential
if i could see prussia/austria/spain content where roderich was getting spitroasted between his two possessive/rivalry-driven husbands i think it would cure me.
usually i'm not a big fan of love triangles bc it often turns out to be unnecessary and boring, but something about pruspaus just grips me by throat. antonio and roderich belong to each other in more ways than one, haunting each other's narrative to this day, whereas gilbert is forever roderich's orbit (and the other way around, too); gilbert loves roderich in the most holy way he knows how, roderich can't even notice it because his gaze is always turned to antonio; antonio has a soft spot for gilbert, as a friend, but if there's one thing he can't tolerate it's his feelings for antonio's ex-husband, so obvious that it could be funny if antonio wasn't so mad about it most of the time; roderich bleeds with love for antonio but believes that he can't do anything about it, because if it doesn't work out this time it might just kill him; gilbert is constantly trying to throw himself in the middle, to cut that invisible golden string between them but just ends up intertwined with it, so now if he doesn't act careful it might choke him
idk it just. gives me The Vibes. you know, the sexy ones
the melodramatic comedy of roderich and gilbert being roommates in vienna, and gilbert having to watch firsthand the renaissance of spaus while harboring his own centuries long feelings for roderich
gilbert: *drags roderich with him to a btt night out*
roderich: *ends up going home with antonio*
gilbert: i miscalculated... but where?
Please please please more pruspaus thoughts. It’s taking over me brain rn
i got you bestie don't worry
being around them makes gilbert realize rather quickly that he barely knows roderich outside of his political persona. the thing is, gilbert fell for austria — ever lovely jewel of central europe, cold and distant and beautiful — but antonio is in love with roderich, who is not a completely different person, but there are, of course, nuances. roderich is the most himself when he is around antonio — he's laid-back and messy and actually smiles a lot, he loves oranges and pomegranates but barely eats them because he hates peeling them, his music taste is very diverse, he's often unintentionally funny and he's an unapologetical bitch, and seeing him like this causes gilbert to have a major paradigm shift
they barely have threesomes because a) roderich is too lazy to negotiate it, b) antonio tends to become possessive during the process, c) gilbert is too awkward for his own sake
i'd say it's more of an open relationship situation, where gil and antonio are mostly platonic friends who are both seeing roderich; it took a lot of conversations and negotiations between the three of them, mostly because antonio is, well. not very good at keeping his jealousy and possessiveness at bay; roderich still waits for it to blow up in their faces
pruaus: hand/knuckles/wrist kisses, forehead kisses, shoulder kisses; spaus: check kisses, neck kisses, back kisses
gilbert's affection for roderich is very worship-like because that's the only way he knows how to love; antonio and roderich, however, are way past making gods of each other
francis almost threw up when he would them out. then asked if he could join. he wasn't serious, but arthur still kicked him under the table
gilbert prefers indoor dates, such as quiet reading sessions or watching soap operas on tv; antonio likes to drag roderich around, especially if they are somewhere in spain
ah yes the arthurian potential of pruspaus, ah yes the courtois romance of it all
“queen is for the king, not for the knight,” but what do you do with the glances from across the room? what do you do with the charged silence in orange gardens? what do you do with carnations dying on a nightstand? what do you do with blood staining your sword in his name and his alone?
how do you even touch something holy? would you, if you were ever allowed?
do you know that there are teeth under the disguise of royal porcelain? the ones that will devour you the moment you reach for that forbidden pomegranate of a heart?
king's sea storm rage is not the one you should fear, not at all
for some reason i just i love seeing gil suffer
