July - Croatia Swim Trek Part 3 One day we had quite a long boat trip to get to our destinations, including an old submarine tunnel called "Hitler's Eye" which was strange to swim/float through. The island we stopped at for lunch treated us with a gorgeous wee village. We did our afternoon swim at the spot where a river and the sea meet so the water had different layers of temperature. Going up the river, there were mussel and oyster farms where you could drive-through to pick up your takeaways from a floating shack :D (pic one)

July - Croatia Swim Trek Part 2 Having been sailing in Greece, we did seem to notice yachts a bit more than usual and there were some beauties around. As well as some stunning old simple churches as well. Boats, culture, blue water and swimming - an excellent combination for successful travels.

July - Croatia Swim Trek Part 1 

So because we were actually swimming most of the time and my camera is not waterproof, there isn’t any evidence of this being a swimming trip... but the scenery was gorgeous and we were cruising around enough to see a lot of it. We were based in Prvic Luka, which was a 45min ferry ride from Sibenik (which in turn was about an hour’s drive north of Split) The seas were crystal clear, the swimming was hard enough to deserve a G&T at the end of the day and the food was amazeballs!
