If there was one class in Hogwarts that Lance felt he exceeded at, it was Potions. Well, that and Ghoul Studies, but that was mostly because he’d been interested in the subject before discovering he was a wizard. But Potions, potions had been entirely new, and for the first time Lance genuinely felt excitement at the prospect of learning more in his new year.
And according to the professor, the first part of the new school year would be to work in partners.
And it was designated partners too. He was just thankful that when his name was called it with paired with someone he knew, and even got along with on occasion.
“Hey Pryde.” he slid into the stool beside the brunette, a slight grin playing on his lips. They hadn’t had many classes together, but when they did he always quietly found her hilarious whenever she chose to speak up in class. Which seemed to be a lot. “How lucky am I, to be paired with the cutest Hufflepuff in here?”
Lois fiddled with her press credentials as she sipped her waaay overpriced Starbucks coffee. Taking a nonstop from Metropolis to Chicago wasn't exactly conducive to sleep but she had to be the first to get the interview here. Not only was this a female presidential candidate but the first mutant presidential candidate! Discarding the rumors about Kennedy of course.
Lois rose from her chair as the other woman walked into the room. "Ms. Pryde? I'm Lois Lane. I spoke to your campaign manager earlier. Thank you so much for doing this." Best to start off on the right foot.
ⓧ Anticipation and anxiety hammered against his chest as shivering hands knocked against the brunette’s door. In his other than, hidden behind his back was a bundle of flowers. Cheesy? Perhaps, but anything to work at this point would be greatly appreciated.
A smile spread across his face as he rapped against the wood. He was more excited than nervous. Though normally a selfish and uncaring personality, Doop had planned this day to be focused around Kitty. After all, it was the love of his life’s birthday! The day was about her.
Now the only thing she had to do was not slam the door in his face. If she resisted as she normally did, they would be late for their reservation dinner.

@metallsinne - I! LOVE! YOU! okay so our rants on discord have helped me develop charles so much. by just yelling about how charles is kind of a douchebag and getting another perspective on him as a character, it helps me better understand how to write him. PLUS YOUR ERIK IS THE BEST THING. i do not regret giving you feelings with sad cherik songs and i thank you for the fic you send me <3
