ooh I understand, but you shouldn't be afraid there are really beautiful and I know how much work someone has to put in for making a gif or edit with photoshop! Yes your gifs on poldark have such a lovely glow!

One thing I will tell you if you’d like to make gifs with similar coloring is that a lot of what I do with psds depends on the woman I’m building the psd for - her hair color specifically. My Poldark psds are almost all built for Demelza, with the exception of a couple that I made specifically for Caroline (since she has so many really dark scenes!). I think I have two for Morwenna as well, which were ones I made for Eleanor that I changed up a bit to reduce the magentas and get Ellise’s hair looking nice. :)
For Demelza, my main goal is always to keep her hair vibrant but soft looking still, so to achieve this with red hair I usually use a selective color layer to take a little bit of black out of the reds and the yellows. That way it produces a really nice ginger that is not quite as orange. Of course I love to add in more magenta with selective color too in order to give a little bit of color to the lips.
That’s how I do it! A good base psd (like curves, gradient layer, levels, and brightness/contrast, which is easy to put together since PS has so many awesome auto options with these tools) and a couple selective color layers, then some color balance just to get the overall color to a more neutral look (I prefer gifs that have a bit of a blue tone) and then a little vibrance and they’re done! Super easy.
Also, I love the reduce noise filter, especially for Poldark. It can be a challenging show to color since much of it is just so dark, and requires quite a lot of fiddling with the layers for me usually.
