Petra van Kant herself is incredible: A leggy, physically empowered black woman in richly colored costume towers over a trio of actors who perform doubly as servants and relatives. Her story is one of unrequited love and personal dissatisfaction.

Mix in questionable dance and personal love anecdotes from the actors, and there is enough to distract you from the power of Petra.
