idk who needs to hear this , but just in case there is even ONE of you here today listen up : putting pieces of yourself into a character is NOT a self insert !! 🗣️ do NOT let this stop you from letting your own experiences inspire you or reflect back on you in your writing , and canon character role players you come back here because I’m talking to you too !!!!

commitment to keeping your muse in character and separate from yourself is the goal , but I hope you guys let yourself play in the paint a bit too while you’re at it . and if you already are , this is me giving you a thank you and a kiss on the cheek . LOVE to see people influence the character they write to some degree , and know I find your writing to be even more compelling that way .

and at the end of the day remember writing a character , oc or canon , will always require some degree of pulling it out of your ass , so OF COURSE it’s gonna smell a little like your shit !! 💩

HERE is my up-to-date thread tracker with all of the threads i've decided i WON'T be dropping as i do some tidying up around the blog . the entries that lack a LAST POSTER are that way because the replies are in my drafts , but it won't properly track the thread until i've officially reblogged it once or posted it originally myself .

i haven't said this really and i feel like i should say it by now but if we ship , i am the type of person who is fine with establishing it piece by piece and thread by thread . i am ALSO the type of person who is fine with time skipping . jumping around from thread to thread and filling in the blanks . as long as you and your muse understand that leon won't DATE THEM like a month or two after meeting them . it'll be AT LEAST a couple years for him . but i almost think that makes it even MORE fun having all that time to slowly fill in ~

PSA: because of all the discourse, i am choosing to write my yuno outside of milgram canon. however, i'll write with canon prisoners upon request! the idea of her being imprisoned, whether it was for abortions like my portrayal, or a miscarriage like canon states, makes me viscerally uncomfortable. i will primarily be writing her in an au entwined with @mirrorskira and her misa, and romantic shipping will be closed. i hope you understand, and thank you for interacting!
