about whitewashing lance

hey yall ok so like... i got an ask asking me not to whitewash lance.

ive realized that my notice on twitter was not noticed on tumblr, and thats partially my fault i guess! sorry about that. but anyway, on twitter i made it known that i NOTICED my picture was kind of light for lance, i am in no way trying to state that boy is white lol nah he is mixed af, but for the one dress picture i did use a blue overlay that made him lighter than he should be portrayed. thank you for noticing and asking me about it, but please be reminded that as a mixed artist i am not likely to draw him White (tm) on purpose. there ARE problems with my moniter’s colors, so if you see it again let me know, but i usually stay towards the red/yellow - caramally skintones for lance, if its darker/lighter then ive probably used an overlay or something! 

but tl;dr if you see it again please just ask me about it but also keep in mind i am NOT drawing him as white. it was only one pic also thank god bc the rest have him darker, but yeah! thanks for checking out my blog anyway! :’ )

club rise will be hosting a nightmare rave (i know omg it's a day late but forgive us), and it'll probably be a neatchat event!!

post lil things about ur character's costume too bc there's gonna be a best costume prize and such!! 

employees at rise and sahara east won't be partying aw bc they're joint hosting the event! calling all bartenders and servers to the battlefield!!

it's a 21+ event (but lbr here people have fake id's and connections), but if an underage minor gets caught, they get the boot

So, lately I've been talking to several people about the activity and how they've been feeling in the roleplay group, and unfortunately the feedback I've had hasn't been too great. In order to fix that I'm going to be suggesting some changes and making certain things clearer. Okay, first let's do the rules (this is gonna be really unprofessional until I put it on the blog. I'm just really pissed off right now.):

Activity is important. If you're not active on ANY of your character's accounts for more than a week, we have a problem. You'll be yelled at. If you cannot keep up activity on the characters you have, you need to figure it out. I get if you don't have muse and whatever, but there are ways to pick that up. Do not make another account and ditch your other one. That's just confusing and kind of disrespectful in many ways. That being said, onto the OC rules.

I'm gonna go ahead and say don't make an OC without a bio written already. Because one, we have no clue who your character is. And two, having some random character popping in is just weird and really confusing. So have a bio written BEFORE you roleplay. Also, I would appreciate the lessening of OC making for the sake of ships. Like seriously. This rp isn't about ships please & thanks. 

Plots. We need more of them. This roleplay as of now? It's stuck going nowehere. So have at LEAST one plot going on that helps with development. 

Reply to all starters if you can, and respond to replies. Tag your starters accordingly. Just roleplay with everyone I mean shit, we are a family. 

If you're going on hiatus, have no muse, etc. TELL SOMEONE. Don't just go inactive. 

Now, I'm gonna address some problems and annoyances I've witnessed. Purely my opinion on this stuff but I'm going to go ahead and say it anyways. **MAY BE INSULTING, WHATEVS READ AT OWN RISK** Lately, all I've been reading about is SHIPS. Everything. It's annoying as hell. I'm gonna admit even I've done it but you have to understand my character's background IS that. Okay? I'm really annoyed at seeing random ass ships happening for the sake of ships. Take that to 1x1 please. I'm also really annoyed at seeing some OCs coming around created just to ship. lets just make one thing clear here: not all characters will have a ship. Second annoyance, I'm seeing way too many OCs walking around without any background. Like, what? Don't make an OC with your major connection being "they slept with (character) or they're best friends with (character)" because no. That, my lovely little friends, is a ship created character. And I will personally ride your ass about how annoying it is. Lets see, next. I think some people have forgotten what this rp is about? Because, I'm confused on what's going on? I'm going to be rewriting an UP TO DATE plot soon to post. But let me make things clear, okay? One, the twins don't ever work together. Ever. They hate eachother. In what world are two people who have been fighting over something for so long going to make up? No. The entire bases of this RP was about their gangs, so can we spice it up a bit and have some Romano hatred that DOESN'T revolve around some Scarletts again? Also, I get some characters have evolved and whatnot, but please embrace what your character usually stood for? Some of this makes no sense I just. Sorry, but I'm just saying. Not pointing anyone out because I honestly am too confused to do so - but if the shoe fits, wear it proudly amigos. Anyways, so sorry about the bitching above. You know I love you guys with my entire heart, you're family - but I'm still going to make it clear when I'm upset. You don't have to agree with this part of course. Now, onto the changes, shall we? 

Every week, we are going to have 1-2 tasks. If there is 2, you must do 1. If there is 1, do you best to complete it. This is for plot development because again, we are sitting in a damn ditch right now.

There will be an event every other week. And sometimes there will be one every week. (Heads up: next event is THIS week)

There will be prompts and memes reblogged onto the main account for your character to use as either A.) starters, or B.) self-paras. Use them. They are like, the best things ever. 

INTERACT WITH THE GOSSIP BLOG. For fucks sake, it's there for a reason. I want at least 1-3 messages weekly I don't want your "who's your fave" bullshit either. I want confessions, deep shit. Capish? 

One last reminder to check yoself before you wreck yoself with your romance plots & pointless ships. Because no bueno on many people's opinion. 

Everyone needs to start pitching in and suggesting tasks and events. I don't know if anyone has noticed but Bradley has been hosting way too much shit. Get your character involved. You want to throw a party? You want to declare a war? Tell me and we can make a plot for an event.
