hitchhiker’s guide to my shipping policy
I thought it might be prudent to make this post as a frame of reference for myself and my partners in the future. It’ll serve as both a rundown on what my policy is and a list of sorts that I’ll likely be updating as time goes on and possibly more ships emerge. All that being said, here’s the rundown on my general shipping policy: i. Though partner exclusivity is not my cuppa, I will be exclusive when it comes to shipping with individual characters. This means that while I’m always happy to write with multiples of the same muse, I will not ship my character with more than one portrayal of the same muse. ii. There are a variety of reasons for this, not the least of which being how much time and energy I often invest in developing a ship with my partner. If the chemistry is there between both muses and muns, I don’t like having to split my attention between two versions of the same ship. (Also, it’d bore me tbh.) iii. I do NOT expect my shipping partners to make the same commitment to me unless they want to and are 100% down with it. Seriously, no pressure! Okay, so that should be all on the policy itself. The final touch will just be the (hella short) list of people with whom I’ve already established and/or developed a ship. This means that I will not be shipping with any other portrayals the characters listed. I’ll put a link to this post in my rules and update it periodically if/when new ships emerge from the mists of Avalon as fully formed vessels of devastating feels, ya dig? Cool.
