hiiii would u mind sharing how did you blur the text in the first gif of this set? post / 713070245612535808/they-high-key-want-to-do-this-challenge-lol . i mean how do you get the blur to move along with the text? thank uuu<33
yes! omg I'm so sorry I'm so late but I finally found the post that explains it, so please check out this ask and tutorial from my girl (s/o to annie imy bb)!
for specifics of text that moves around that needs blurring I'll explain it a bit more in detail below ~
for gifs that involve moving text like this:
you have to essentially manually blur out the text one frame at a time which is extremely time consuming so I do recommend to only do this if necessary or if the text moves around, making a still blur impossible (I always try to crop around texts like this as much as possible).
I'll do a quick demo:
following tutorial above, once you converted to timeline, you would select the layer you would want to blur and then blur the selected area (in this case layer 6, which is the beginning of the timeline)
and then it would look like this
to blur the next spot, you would move the timeline to the next frame on the timeline (in this case, layer 7), and repeat!
***make sure the timeline and layer are on the same frame to help you keep track because it can get confusing depending on the amount of frames you're trying to blur ~
diff anon but how do you dl files from the kiwi site? im so confused ;-; it wont let me dl it to my desktop
No worries I’ll lead you step by step of how downloading on kiwi works
(a little bit of a lengthy post so putting it in read more)
1. click on the top right icon (as circled)
2. there’s a pop up that just basically asks you to make sure you have sufficient room to download the files (in this case 2.7gb) you press ‘ok’ to continue
3. then you should see 2 buttons appear on the top right which basically means start and end as seen below
this is what should happen once you press ‘ok’ (all files selected)
4. select the files you want to download (as it automatically selects all of them) then press start and a pop up will appear to ask you where you should save your files, press ‘ok’ to pick a location for your files to be downloaded
5. once you selected a place there will be popups mentioning kiwi opening your folder to view files, click ‘view files’ and then click ‘save changes’ for the next popup
6. your folder name of where you’re downloading it will appear in a highlighted tab as seen below and the download(s) should start
7. for future files on kiwi it may ask you if you want to save in the same folder as your previous download, just click ‘cancel’ and you’ll be able to pick a new folder for your download (or press ‘ok’ if you want it to be the same)
hope this helps!

Can I ask what your gif settings are when you export? They look so nice!
Yeah sure! These were the settings I used for my most recent gifset! I have an older ask you can refer to since I sometimes do adjust my settings depending on gifset and a resource page for save settings for gifs ^^ hope this helps!
hii! i have always loved your gifs because they're all so beautiful, but i particularly love the colours in this post (/post/184292276432), i'm wondering if it's okay to ask how you colour and sharpen it / which psd you used? thank you !!
hello lovely!! asdffgdf that makes me so happy so thank you so much! I was actually lowkey insecure about that gifset so 😔💖💖
as for the coloring/sharpening, I’ll try to explain more under the cut!
Each gif in that set was adjusted accordingly because usually in performance gifs the lighting changes a lot so I get extremely nit picky about have the coloring as consistent as I possibly can (or I at least try to lolol)
Here are some of the previous asks I’ve gotten about the base I use and generally how I layout my layers (1 / 2 / 3)
As for the coloring for this specific set:
This was the initial base that I pasted onto all the other gifs, but since lighting loves to clown I ended up having to adjust it a lot more because the rest of the gifs were darker compared to the first one
These were the general adjustments for the other 3 gifs (since they were both in the same situation of having a darker lighting on them) the exposure on the first gif as you can see is off because of the lighting being much more darker
As for sharpening, I answered a similar ask about the process here which generally what I still do! (these gifs were processed through topaz as well)
I think that’s everything, hopefully this helped ~
hey!! ur gifs and tutorials are so good and pretty and i totally understand if u dont want to do this but i was wondering if you knew how to change hair colors in gif? i cant find any tutorials and its driving me crazy. if ur too busy its totally fine but i figured i could ask just in case!
Hey! I’m sorry this is so late.
I don’t think I ever changed hair color (if I did pls link me :p), so I’m not sure how to do it honestly :/ Maybe with a hue/saturation layer? Or selective color?
hey morgane! can you give me some tips on how you create gradients for your icons? Mine always look so bad and not "gradient" like :( could you pls help? thank you so much <3
Hey nonnie! So, I actually don’t use ‘color’ gradients? I use a solid color and then add two different gradients above that layer, both on soft light. I use a b&w one first and then a white/transparant one.
I don’t know if that makes much sense, so I made you a mini psd for that. You just have to play around with the angles and opacity of the layers to see what you like best (and for different colors you might have to use different % opacity, like for light colors I usually either disable the white gradient or decrease the opacity)
