THE .PSD SHOW
La extensión .PSD es la utilizada para designar documentos en formato Adobe Photoshop. Basándose en este formato y en sus propiedades intrínsecas, Joshua Citarella organizó en 2012 The .PSD Show, una exposición online que muestra archivos .PSD originales creados específicamente para el proyecto por artistas como Lucas Blalock, Daniel Everett o Kate Steciw.
El texto de la exposición nos presenta el software Adobe Photoshop como la lengua vernácula de las imágenes contemporáneas y nos recuerda cómo las nuevas tecnologías han alterado significativamente la práctica fotográfica reciente. En base a esto, The .PSD Show desarrolla con elegancia el discurso en su propia lengua nativa, ofreciendo al público la oportunidad de abrir los archivos digitales en su estado bruto e inmaterial. Todos los archivos expuestos pueden ser descargados y abiertos posteriormente en Adobe Photoshop.
