Real talk (again) There’s something off about the fact that as a child, parents, teachers and cartoons taught me to treat other people with love and respect and how altruism is a great virtue. and then I grew up into an adult who constantly puts other people’s needs before mine for the sake of altruism and whose self-worth and self-esteem is critically low
The question is how does that happen? Are we never properly taught to love ourselves, too?
