a tiny and colorful little friend! found in the summer, in new mexico :) he has a proboscis and an abdomen that curls inward like a shrimp
would love an ID if possible!
It's a mirid plant bug, and probably one in the genus Pseudoloxops. They're not common in the US and are usually found in Europe and Asia but they are plant feeders so it's not surprising they occasionally make their way to the US via plants.
