The Meeting || Shinhye & Seungri
It was late night and Shinhye couldn’t sleep so she had decided to go out and get something to drink. Coffee wasn’t really her thing so she decided on a milkshake. She had decided against wearing a disguised and the older man was staring at her, actively trying to figure out who she was. It wouldn’t be long before he remembered then she would have to be polite and have small talk that she wasn’t in the mood for.
A walk down the almost empty street seemed like her best bet at the moment. She needed to clear her head before she went back home to her empty apartment. It was a nice place but she was already thinking about moving again. Maybe get a roommate this time. That way she would always have someone to hang out with. Especially at times like these. It really sucked that she had a whole month off and here she was alone, getting a milkshake at almost 1AM and none of her friends where free to hang.
She walked out of the little shop just in time because it seemed that older man had finally figured out who she was. She could tell by the surprised look on his face. She power walked down the sidewalk in case he decided to chase after her and ask for a picture or something. She did not feel like being the Nation’s Little Sister tonight.
As she made it to the crosswalk, she pressed the button anxiously. This part of the street appeared abnormally darker than the other side. She held her purse closer to her body and looked around. Nothing to out of the ordinary but suddenly the hairs on the back of her neck decided to tell her that she was wrong and something was definitely about to happen. She looked around again and this time saw a man in the distance.
She pressed the button again and again. Why was it taking so long? There wasn’t even any cars going by. She looked behind her again and saw that man was walking faster than before and he was unquestionably coming her way. The walking man sign still didn’t appear and she was getting more frightened by the second. She did not want to deal with any weirdos today.
Please not today.
She glanced behind herself once again and decided that she would much rather pay for a jay-walking ticket than deal with the guy approaching fast. She looked down the street to make sure that no cars where coming and only saw one in the distance. She could surely make it across before it approached. Clutching her purse and milkshake she ran across the street. She heard some yell once than the tires screeching and what sounded like someone getting hit.
Walk away. Just mind your own business. She told herself. Leave right now.
But she couldn’t. She had to see what had happened. Slowly she turned around in time to see the car reversing before driving away. Great. She was going to be a witness to a hit and run. This is not how she picture her vacation going.
Shinhye approached the man lying in the middle of the street. She prayed he was dead and was happy to see him move as she got closer.
“Hey are you okay?” She asked as she bent down.
