hi ive been posting a lot today lol but i needed to draw Maisy as my favorite fennec fox picture okay? she and Kipper are slowly taking over my brain i fear. like a disease of some sort but far more whimsical

go, my weird animals!

finally i have refs for these guys! started these back when the two of them officially got their badges and registered their team like a week ago and thennnn my semester started. anyways i may change it but as of now their team name is Team Pearl because Maisy’s name actually means pearl and then Kipper is a water type so. yeag!

some bonus design notes:

Maisy has freckles and slightly curly fur! i like to imagine she had curly hair as a human

Kipper’s leg and fin markings are supposed to resemble like water splatters or bubbles

they have matching asymmetrical paws with heart spots on them! Maisy’s is her right paw and Kipper’s is his left so that when they stand side-by-side they face each other :3

the lighter colored leaf in Maisy’s tail is colorpicked from Kipper’s gills! they’re also gonna get carried over to the sticks in her braxien and delphox forms when she eventually evolves in the future

Maisy wears her bow(?) in the front while Kipper’s is to the side, Maisy wears her badge in the middle of it and Kipper wears his badge is on whichever side that the tie isn’t on

a bit too late to be a valentine’s day post but some Maisy and Kipper doodles because i love them and wanted to draw them together and show some more of their relationship! to clarify btw i don’t ship them romantically but i do think they have a very strong bond with each other (this user is aroace and ADORES characters with close platonic or queerplatonic relationships btw i eat it up every single time) and so they’re more like a matching set to me. partners if you will. which i think is especially cute since when you combine blue for kipper and yellow for maisy you get green which is the harmony scarf color! also yes they sleep in a pile. the expedition society gave them two beds and then they just end up sleeping on top of each other like kittens instead and the second bed just sits there unused. tragic
