Hallo

Cozy König
Reader owns a coffee shop and konig is a pain in the ass client.
It was almost 1 A.M, you looked tired at the clock ticking on the wall, just ten minutes and you could close the doors. Your hands smelled like old coffee and bleach from all the cleaning you did. You observed the few half broken streetlights outside, not one soul on sight. With slow movements you went toward the door deciding you could close five minutes early, surely there was nobody that was dying to have a coffee and you weren't their savior either. One time, it wouldn't hurt right, to change the same old schedule, the nice cozy routine. Your hands itched as you grabbed the key.
"Hello"
Your eyes widened looking at the tall, bulky man that just entered your bar, the noise of the bell ringing echoing in your head "We're closed" you managed to say staring in his eyes, being the only visible part under the black surgical mask. His movements were deadly silent, not even the shifting of fabric as he glanced at the clock and then pointed at the sign outside "It says open till 1, it's not 1 yet" "It's in five minutes" "Five minutes is enough to drink a coffee".
Your eye twitched in annoyance as you looked at him sitting down "Plain espresso only" "That's fine i like my coffee black" you sighed as you took a paper cup and observed as it filled up "You look like the type" no answer. You handed the cup to him, no spoon, no plate, no sugar "I wanted it in glass" "We don't have glass cups". His eyes shifted behind you "And what are those?" "For exposition only it's feng shui". He was rather amused by you, so he decided to not complain further, even if he wanted to annoy you a little more.
He drank his coffee slowly, very slowly, studying as you kept looking at the clock with arms crossed and a glare with a face that was saying "Maybe if i keep watching, it will pass faster". It wasn't working so your attention moved towards the man "It's ten euros" his eyes squinted like he was smiling under the mask "For an espresso?" "Yes it's one euro and the rest is a tip coming from your heart since you came when we were closing up". König tilted his head "Do you have this many clients with that attitude of yours?" "I have enough and they love me" "I wonder how" "Because they don't come here when it's closing time expecting to drink coffee?" "So -he smiled- you're mean just to me?" "You figured it all by yourself?". Oh he loved you, he would've come again tomorrow night just to see you again, he liked women with an attitude. "it's one o'clock pay and leave". He got up, his height imposing on you again, he placed a twenty euros bill down and left without a word. You closed the doors behind him and took the money putting them away. What an annoying guy you mumbled as you closed everything.
The next night came, you weren't even half done with the closing, too many people and just two hands was not a good combo. You were finishing cleaning the metal cabinets, your knees on the still dirty ground as you moved as fast as a human could. Then you heard the bell ring and looked up from behind the counter "Hallo" he said watching you clean "I'll have a coffee" "You'll have to leave I don't have time" silence "Nah you still have five more minutes" you sighed getting up, your bones hurting. You did his coffee handing it to him "I spit in it" "Yeah? Then it should taste better than yesterday" your face contorted in an expression he couldn't quite make out, but when he saw the slight reddish hue on your cheeks he couldn't help but clench the paper cup a bit too hard.
You kept cleaning while he followed you with his eyes "Lot of clients?" "No way? How did you guess that?" "I am the smart one of the family" you let out a chuckle before you could control your expression "I'm also the funny one in the family". You glanced at the clock, a bit amused "You have one minute left, it's ten euros" he didn't say anything, you heard the door closing, and looked back at him going to his car in the parking lot. You took the money, again a twenty euros bill, but this time beside a little note with his number scribbled on it in a neat handwriting. You let out a deep breath while thinking, your hand caressing the paper, before putting it in your pocket. Maybe you'll send him a message, so he'll know you also open at ten in the morning and he has all the time in the world to come have a coffee. It won't hurt... Right?
