Sony PsP 1000 Pink Limited Edition .. Pink Handheld
I recently found my old PSP 1000, which is pretty rad. I'm planning to hack it. My new PSP charger just came in the mail. Sadly, the outer plastic part of the PSP's UMD door is broken and like the entire top third is missing, and the door won't stay closed. It looks like it's just the plastic part of the UMD door that's broken, though. I even order a replacement part, and it's here now too. I tried to Google how to replace the part, but it seems like all of the results are for replacing the entire UMD door, not just the plastic part, and it requires taking apart the entire machine, including removing the screen from the motherboard (or whatever you call the PSP equivalent of a motherboard). Does anyone know if there's an easier way to just replace the plastic part of the UMD door?
A word of advice from me.
NEVER buy a third-party battery for a PSP. It will not keep a charge. I learned this the hard way and I decided it was time to replace it with an official Sony “extended life” PSP battery. (Just bought one on Amazon.)
Also, I bought a MicroSD-to-MemoryStickDuo adapter along with a 32 GB MicroSD card so I can load my PSP (a PSP 1000 which I bought about a week after it was released) with a shit ton of NES, SNES, Genesis, GB, GBA, and PSOne games. (I have a softmodded custom firmware and converted my Final Fantasy VII disc images to PSP format.)
PSP 1000/Playstation Portable
Is there anyone out there who has a PSP 1000 and has some old games/memory card that they don't want/need/is just taking up space? lol.
I bought mine on the sly (my mother doesn't know) and I bought a clear protective case a memory card adapter and reader along with the USB cord...however, I was a git and didn't get a memory stick and I didn't get games because I've run out of money. I'm on a fixed and very tight income and well, it blows at times.
What I'm hoping is that there's someone out there who is looking to be rid of stuff. If I could pay you, I certainly would, but I can't. I don't expect anyone to be sympathetic, but I thought it'd be worth a shot to ask.
Cheers!

Just hit up my ask; it's open. :)
Hey, my PSP 1000 screen is pretty scratched up. Does anyone have advice on how to fix it?
psp's busted, it won't spin discs anymore it was a second-hand 1000, so it was bound to go soon i'm actually surprised it lasted this long with the amount of times i've dropped it rest in pieces babe you may be replaced in the near or distant future, but no replacement will ever be as fun as you were or at least i don't think it will but yeah r.i.p you will be missed and all that shit
