I think the Psy Corps angers me so much because there's few things I hate more than corruption and backwards politics. But I think on a deeper level, it gets under my skin the way it does because it's a reflection of companies and the government's organizations that we have now. It's a very dark and pretty realistic vision of what happens when people who are different come out of woodwork, and how humanity responds to that...
Seriously, Babylon 5 is so fucking deep it physically pains me. And it's often difficult to watch, because the issues it deals with are ones we have problems with now - racism (or specisism) and xenophobia etc. and it hits so close to home. Cos deep down, we know, even in 250 years time, we will still be dealing with the same shit as we are now, it'll just be wearing a slightly different shade of fucked up.
