Hey lads I need your help
I’m part of a study/lab that needs participants! There’s a model about coming out in LGBT+ populations from the 1970s (50 years ago y’all) that’s still being cited and just. hasn’t been updated. There’s no research in this area and my prof (who is a member of the LGBT+ community) who wants to know if the model is even applicable anymore or what kind of updates it need etc. You don’t need to be out to anyone to participate!
so to give you the whole schpiel
We are seeking individuals who identify as LGBTQ+ to participate in a research project examining the coming out process. Specifically, this project is examining if the coming out process for young adults is following the same trajectory as it has in previous generations.
You’re eligible if you meet the following criteria:
Age 18 - 24 at time of participation
Sexual or romantic attraction towards members of same sex/gender
The entire study takes about 60 - 90 minutes and you can be interviewed in person (if you’re close by) or via phone. The interview will be recorded, and all materials are confidential.
