The first Fae, Psyche

And now for some Lore™️! Psyche, the Fae in general, and how morpher magi came to be. More below!:

Psyche of Andros was the very first morpher magi, then called Fae, in existence. Before her, all magi were Casters, and it’s a common belief that everyone that can transform descends from her in some form of another, despite the face she never had offspring. Her form showcased is the primal morpher transformation, now called Psychaix after her. This form started to diverge, evolve and change over time, essentially turning into the many transformations we know today. Psychaix magi were on a completely different level, they wielded magic raw from all Sources without issue, though the transformation itself was incredibly unstable and incredibly dangerous to handle, which is why it was less and less used over time. The few that did transform on a somewhat regular basis were revered as gods, and considered to be emissaries or incarnations of Ethereals (magical beings that are said to be the ones that granted magic to sapientkind, I’ll elaborate on them later). Psyche herself is rumored to have been *ascended* into Ethereal status due to her sudden dissapearance a few decades later, alongside the first Fairy, Witch and Sorcerer in existence (which will get designs later).

Modern magis could theoretically access this primal form, but the way to actually do so is still unknown, and it’s believed that even attempting it will end your life. The last existing record of active Psychaix magi is of the three witches that would later become Myraria, as well as earn a corrupted form of Psychaix nicknamed Thanatix. As for Psyche herself, not much is known of her life, other than possibly having been a priestess of some kind.
