So, let's look at both Eros and Psyche separately first.

Eros is the asteroid (#433) which represents a powerful, deeply all-consuming passion or magnetism that really does go beyond just the physical attraction. This is the energy that symbolizes action to things like marriage, transformation, fullfulment etc. Traditionally, this is linked to the ancient Greek god of love, Eros, but is modernly used in astrology to take a closer look at how love and intimacy can be displayed in deeper, non-physical ways of desire.

Now looking at the asteroid Psyche. In astrology the psyche asteroid really represents the soul's journey through life, and its deep longing for love and connection, and just the pathway to stronger spiritual self. This asteroid can show in both a birthchart, and a Synastry chart, how one may face challenges related to intimacy, trust, and self-worth.

Now being that both asteroids are in conjunction of one another in your synastry chart, I would first off say that you two have a very big mission in this lifetime. You two could be meant to heal each other though of course it would depend on who has what asteroid (though not entirely).

When I see this combination, I think of not only a fated connection, but a connection of two people that have come together and are meant to create a new way of being together. Let me explain: you or them, or both of you could have come from homes where you felt very confused, underappreciated, sometimes even spiritually or emotionally gaslit etc. so you might have had questions about your love life and when it will feel more safe and more fulfilled up until you met each other.

This person just understands you, understand your motivation and most importantly, understands where you're coming from and where you will go. I think any asteroid can be looked at through a romantic sense as each individual may see value in different things (from physical, emotional, intellectual as well as psychological & ideology wise)

Psyche is also an asteroid of ideals, and mortal beauty but also the human mind. If you have Eros conjunct Psyche in synastry, it's usually an indicator of a "soulmate" or star-crossed lovers bond.
