Twenty years ago, this month, I released my third album. The Shamen E.P. was an album that the majority of songs were written and recorded in a weekend in winter of 1999-2000. The album was mostly demo recordings, my friends and I enjoyed listening to so much that I released it as is. Some songs are more polished than others and some songs are quite experimental. Songs like “Light In The Sky”, “Shamen”, and “Tall Grass” were staples in my live sets of the era with Daniel Lapensee on drums and Chet Kruzewski on harp. Other songs like “We Are Having A Good Time Tonight” and “OK” were cult faves amongst friends and fans. The cover is my charcoal portrait of my friend Michael “The Shamen” Silver R.I.P. who was an inspiration. Here’s to twenty years of the Shamen E.P. You can stream the album everywhere.
