re: the eye crinkle post, i have /always/ crinkled my eyes when im fake smiling like since i can remember, bc i learned that's what people responded to lmao, but apparently when i tell people that i can do that, it creeps them out?? like... it's harder for me to fake smile /without/ the eye crinkle at this point

I absolutely get what you mean! Neurotypical people do tend to find it a bit weird to learn that we’re good at faking things like that, because they think it means we’re faking the emotion. Usually, though, we are feeling the emotion, we just wouldn’t choose to display it on our expression in the same way a Neurotypical would. And that’s okay!

But masking is something we’re used to having to do, and a lot of us have learned how to do it realistically. There’s nothing wrong with that, it just helps us fit in.

howww did i not know you studied latin?? i studied latin! though i didn't get as far as i would have liked because i started going to a different college that didn't offer latin as a course

I hope I said that correctly, my Latin is a little rusty. I learned it for three years and got through an entire textbook, so I know basically all the grammar things concerning Latin, though not the vocabulary for it.

I am also surprised, I thought I yelled about Latin usage more often. Though I may usually keep that to Discord because DEAR LORD POWERWOLF PLEASE IMPROVE THY LATIN-]
