UNIVERSITY FAIR 2017
Last July 2017, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila celebrated their 50th anniversary by conducting a university fair. The said fair was organized by the Supreme Student Council with the help of both academic and non-academic organizations of PLM.
The PLM Psychological Society joined the event by selling different merchandise like statement shirts, key chains and different kinds of food like ice candy and gelatin. Aside from selling stuff and food, the PLM PsySoc also has games like “i-shoot mo na ang ball” and “maalaala mo kaya”.
The mechanics of the game “i-shoot mo na ang ball” is that the player has to shoot ten (10) pingpong balls in 10 paper cups formed in a triangular shape for 30 seconds. The second game “maalaala mo kaya” is a word game. The player has to memorize fifteen (15) words for one minute then he/she will recite at least 10 words that he/she remembered. Both games have a price of five different chips of their choice.
A lot of students were able to visit our booth, purchased items and participate in our games. We also have a free photo in our life sized Instagram board for all the students in the fair. Because of this event, the PLM Psychological Society and other organizations were able to raise funds for their future activities.
