"Achoo!"
Talonflame, luckily, had wings which allowed her to stay above the grass. And right now she was keeping a bird's eye out for interesting new Pokémon. After having come up with some new routines, Tierno was starting to think maybe a group of four would be better for his dances.
The burly boy pushed his way through the grass, blind except for the guidance of his fire bird, getting a little bit frustrated by his lack of interesting encounters. He wondered if maybe Talonflame was giving him away?
"Come on back, okay?"
But Tierno didn't point up a Pokeball. Instead, he raised his arm as a perch. Talonflame's feet scratched his skin but he hardly seemed bothered. At this point he was used to it. At some point he really should look into something to protect his arm though...
Tierno shoved on, now with just one arm, but only ever heard Pokemon. Had he used a repel and forgotten or-
"Whoa!"
And suddenly there was no grass. He tripped out of the edge of the grass as though he'd stepped onto a stair that wasn't there. And as though suddenly reaching the end wasn't enough...
"Ah, I'm sorry! Are you okay?"
Geez, how clumsy. He just had to bump into someone.
Today just wasn't his day it seemed.
