If you wrote Kai to be ableist, then why do so many of your readers feel bad for him? What does that say about them?

I'll throw a response in, even though there are a lot of similarities to the fights, there is one big difference between them.

Kai's tail is wagging furiously while over Percy, while Quinn's tail is not wagging while over Kai.

I could take that as Kai's mind being scattered, anxious and scared, while Quinn is NOT in that state of mind because he is attacking due to protecting Piper in his eyes, and NOT attacking out of fear. (me finding it interesting how many parallels are in the two exchanges, but at the same time the feeling behind them comes off completely different too)
