I’ve been thinking about things to say here, but I’m gunna be honest: my reward for publishing We Have Come to Burn is literally playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild for incredible stretches of time without guilt. So, that’s where I am right now. Also, there’s a typo on print page 167 and somewhere in the e-book version, and I have since cried about it after a reader (Hi, Holly!) pointed it out to me. LITERALLY HOW??? I’ve read this novel at least ten times, including the proof copy that I certified as 100% ready to ship. That is literally one million words. I must be BLIND.
...But it’s fixed now. Just not for anyone that has bought the book, or will buy the book in the next three days, FML. But this is what Zelda is doing for me: I will not refresh the sales reports, I will not stare at Amazon and wait for a review, to come in. I will not beat myself up for not catching the most obvious typo on planet earth. I will catch and tame horses, dammit. I will explore the vast kingdom of Hyrule. I will make weird things to eat in pots and then eat them.
