You heard an all too familiar ring tone begin to play as you grinned down at your phone: Luke. You answered the phone eagerly.
"Are you ready for the concert tonight?" Luke asked excitedly.
"Of course! I can’t wait! Thanks again for inviting me!" you spoke into the phone.
"Yeah, I wouldn’t wanna go with anyone else, you’re my best friend," he said. You smiled at this.
Little did you know, but Luke thought of you as more. You hung up the phone and waited eagerly for your best friend Luke to pick you up for the concert. When he finally arrived, you bolted out to his car before he could call you to let you know he was there.
"I can’t wait," Luke said eagerly.
"Same," you replied.
You heard a familiar song on the radio and reached to turn the volume up. Luke beat you to it and turned the radio off.
"I have to tell you something. I know that we’re best friends and I know that that probably won’t change, but I have feelings for you, and I can’t hide it any longer," Luke admitted.
"Pull over," you command.
Luke pulls to the side of the road and you crash your lips into his.
"I’ve been waiting for you to say that for forever," you smiled.
