Instalar Puddletag en Ubuntu 20.04 y no morir en el intento. Puddletag es un editor de etiquetas de audio (metadatos) especifico para Linux. Es muy similar a la herramienta de Windows, Mp3tag. A diferencia de otros etiquetadores Linux, este utiliza un diseño similar al de una hoja de cálculo. De esta forma, todo lo editable lo tienes a la vista además de muy fácil e intuitivo. Los formatos admitidos son: ID3v1, ID3v2 (mp3), MP4 (mp4, m4a, etc.), VorbisComments (ogg, flac), Musepack (mpc), Monkey's Audio (.ape) y WavPack (wv). Puddletag viene en los repositorios oficiales de Ubuntu y derivados, excepto de Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. Observa los requisitos de la herramienta. Python2.5 o superior (no Python3). PyQt4 (4.5 o superior) para la GUI. PyParsing (1.5.1 o superior). Mutagen (se recomienda 1.20, se requiere 1.14). Supongo que ya te habrás dado cuenta del detalle. La última versión estable de Puddletag no soporta Python 3, ni tampoco PyQt5. Recuerda que Ubuntu 20.04, ya no ofrece soporte a la versión 2.x de Python, ni a PyQt4.   Instalar Puddletag en Ubuntu 20.04 Existe una nueva versión en desarrollo, que solucionara el problema descrito anteriormente. This lazy boyo right here is Puddle. He’s a cheeky bastard who complains about absolutely everything. Absolutely will wake you up at 4am because there’s a squirrel outside I wanna fuck with and you locked the window why are your window latches Like That seriously c’mon.

Puddle’s body excretes a mist that causes fast paralysis in any animal smaller than your average dog, and anything that makes direct eye-contact with him sees the moment of their death up until the point their body has decayed entirely.

I’ll do a neater drawing of him once I get my computer to work, but for now it’s just watercolour and pen I’m afraid ^^;

Fixed: Regular expression parsing

Discogs API no longer working. Fixed it so that searches can be done using Discogs release id only.

Fixed comparison of boolean values in format strings.

Fixed: cripting function escaping wasn’t working.

All config options are stored as JSON. Should fix issues with not being able to store certain values.

Added $to_num scripting function. Converts text to numbers for easy comparison.

Puddletag 1.0 beta 5 Available In The Our Puddletag Ubuntu PPA

Puddletag is an audio tag editor for Linux, similar to Mp3tag, which uses a spreadsheet-like layout. Besides basic tagging features, Puddletag comes with tag lookup using Amazon, Discogs, FreeDB and MusicBrainz. Puddletag 1.0 beta 5 has been released yesterday, the new version bringing some important fixes: MusicBrainz, Doscogs and Amazon tag lookup should now work again. There are also some new features:

__md5_sig field for FLAC.

$regex scripting function.

Dutch Translation by Fabian Bakkum.

Added AcoustID support, but not for general use yet due to the heavy dependency load. Do not try to make it work unless you’re an ‘advanced’ user.

Since the stable Puddletag version has many bugs, I've uploaded the latest beta to the WebUpd8 Puddletag PPA instead of using the unstable PPA.

Puddletag has been updated to version 0.10.3.

Changelog:

Deleting tags when they contain mapped fields.

Functions operating on multiple values like Merge Field were broken.

peformersortorder is spelt correctly as performersortorder for ID3 tags.

Renaming directories when intermediate directories are to be created.

It also seems version 0.10.2 wasn't working on 64bit but this seems fixed now.
