Lucky Number 13: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. What can I saw about an unnecessary prequel to one of the most iconic horror films of all time? It just failed to capture the essence of the original film. It lacked any kind of subtlety or carefully calculated rising action. It relied too much on blood and gore. It seemed to try to explain the origin of some elements of the original film, but at the same time left a few things out. Also, I couldn’t understand the motivation of some characters.
