Well duh! Besides alot of box dyes have metallics or henna which could cause a problem when using lightner and that will melt your hair off. Seek a professional and ask for a filler to fill your hair with and color and have them add a permanent to it.

I know :( I was loyal to my colorist for YEARS, I don't know what got into me. I thought that since I was just going black I would do it myself.
