Indulge in the perfect blend of sweet roasted figs with fragrant hints of orange blossom and cinnamon, paired with a refreshing mint cream filling, all encased in buttery puff pastry.
Ingredients: 1 sheet of puff pastry. 8-10 fresh figs, halved. 2 tablespoons honey. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1 cup heavy cream. 2 tablespoons powdered sugar. 1 teaspoon orange blossom water. Fresh mint leaves for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a rectangular shape. Transfer the pastry to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Arrange the fig halves on top of the pastry, cut side up. Drizzle the figs with honey and sprinkle with ground cinnamon. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the figs are softened and caramelized. While the tart is baking, prepare the mint cream filling. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add the powdered sugar and orange blossom water, and continue to whip until stiff peaks form. Once the tart is done, let it cool slightly. Spread the orange blossom and cinnamon-scented whipped cream over the cooled tart. Garnish with fresh mint leaves. Slice and serve the tart warm or at room temperature.
