The only, seemingly mature/capable/understanding adults on the smp:

Eret

Sam

Puffy

Connor 

Why?

Eret made his mistakes with the betrayal, but ever since then he's actively tried to help people, extending a hand despite knowing he's not trusted. He offered help to Pogtopia, gave up his crown for it, he offers help to those in need. He's never shut anyone out or away- and he just wants to help. He’s a primarily neutral party, despite being crowned under Dream. He doesn’t really blame anyone for issues or problems. 

Sam has NO idea why he's building the prison, all he does is help people, really no matter the faction. He's offered a hand and home to Tommy and Tubbo, and provides them with materials whenever they need it. He gives weapons and armor and supplies to those in need, and helps them with redstone and other projects too. 

Puffy is built different and understands that Tommy & Tubbo are children and don't deserve punishment for these mistakes. Supposedly it's Tommy's fault- he stole first, he griefed first, etc. He burnt down maybe 20 blocks of George's house and was exiled because George was king- but Karl, Sapnap, and Quackity blew up Eret's front part of the castle while king and they got their country recognized- she understands that for some reason, the children are held to a higher standard than the adults. She knows this and it’s her goal to stop the fighting and blaming. 

 Connor, despite literally being tortured by Tommy, had his home destroyed, etc, he forgave Tommy. He let Tommy move back into his dirt hut, and Tommy apologized and said he could live in Ninja's home (shocking character development tbh). Connor said he didn't blame Tommy, and it was clear that Tommy was just conflicted and broken and acting out due to being hurt.

They’re the only adults, so far an to my knowledge, that understand the gray middle ground of these situations, realize the issues with picking sides, the issues with blaming the only children- heck out of I think 30 members (if I counted correctly), only four of them are kids, and 3 of those four are blamed for nearly everything on the SMP and made to handle every conflict. 

Eret, Sam, Puffy, and Connor are built different and man do I hope this arc leads to some peace and maybe therapy for the kids.
