Just thought this might be helpful to educate people about Idiopathic  (sometimes called “Old Dog”) Vestibular Disease (or disorder or syndrome.) It is a fairly common geriatric-dog malady that can be triggered by an inner ear infection, head trauma,  or even brain tumors (more rare.) Most times, beyond age,  the cause is unknown. It can be misdiagnosed as seizures, or a stroke- but is not painful or directly life threatening. Always check with your vet, but please read up on this condition before going in. Most important with this condition- find a way to keep your dog hydrated! Nephretiti is fine now, but recovery is a slow process.
