Getting ready for bed and vibrating thinking about the announcement tomorrow...

Want to remind everyone to take a nice, deep breath. We’re all talented creators, no matter where the story goes from here, I have full faith that the fandom will be able to gel with it in time. 

Additionally, after watching...several unpleasant reaction posts to FFXIV’s last expac, what with the genderlocked races and other problematic additions/subtractions from the game, I want to emphasize that no matter what is announced, there are going to be people who don’t agree with your emotions/opinions of it. 

You may ADORE it, and that’s wonderful! It may be EVERYTHING you could have hoped for and if so, I’m thrilled for you! Be mindful of those who are reeling from it and hating it. 

You may hate the dev team’s choices with EVERY FIBER OF YOUR BEING! It may entirely ruin your view of the game for right now, it may leave you so frustrated you don’t wanna log in! If so, I feel for you, it’s a rough spot to be in. Please be aware that attacking those who are happy about it won’t REMOTELY help the situation.

Above all else, be kind to those around you, no matter what news we get handed in a few hours. This includes being kind to the devs. If I see even a smidge of namecalling or attacks on the team, I’m going to be deeply disappointed in ya! Part of what makes this community amazing is how much we look out for each other. Let’s keep that streak going, and remember
