          Heavy cerulean boots made contact onto the cool concrete floor below. It’s weight brought a tap with each step his heel touched the ground he floated down onto. He had just returned from an act of heroism that any other individual baring tights could ever do. There was no need for the tall blond to go out and complete such a simple task any other Grade A hero could accomplish-- but this was his time to shine. To go out and make the name of Booster Gold louder than any other could be heard. It might take a while, and maybe with the right press, the blue and gold sporting hero can finally have his alias in lights and spoken correctly out of the lips of adoring fans. The thought buzzed in his mind for a moment but was soon interrupted by the sight of a slightly petite woman.

                                                        it had happened again. this is the third comic steve illustrated for the paper to be turned away && thrown in the trash. after plucking it out of the trash bin, steve had stormed out of the editor’s office with smoke practically coming out of his nose && ears.  ❝  — we can’t just around && wait for someone else to do something!  ❞  steve shouted for anyone to listen. his last three comics ( including this one ) all supported entering the war in europe -- steve’s editor made it very clear that the paper is keeping a neutral position. 

steve doesn’t think this is the kind of paper he wants to work for.
