today in things that still haunt me about voltron:

The PacificRim-ification of Voltron mind meld and how they did ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING with it on the show.

One of the most interesting mecha worldbuilding strategies in storytelling for team-ups and.... nothing. People have been trying to reinvent the Pacific Rim sync- bond for a while now, because it is iconic and interesting it is, and voltron had the answer right there ... just to throw it off because of mediocrity

They hinted at it for 3 seconds, and then they forgot, NOTHING came of it.

The most consistent trend in vld is how mediocre developped their fun and interesting ideas were.

Well hooray I've reached my minimum page count!
