"Ohh- ...Can you swim?" He probably should've asked that to begin with. Internally he chastised himself. Stupid! That wasn't helpful, considering the common fears and trepidations towards bodies of water. With that thought in mind, Wuyang attempted to correct himself by offering alternatives.

"I'm sure we can take a different path without compromising time, if that suits you better?"

He'd thought they were gone. Broken underfoot in the midst of a fight, mangled and kicked to some dark corner in an alley never to be seen again. His eyesight was terrible, especially at night, and he couldn't just wear his mask around in order to see. To replace them he'd have to make an appointment with the eye doctor just to find out what his most recent prescription number were, make sure he had enough money to cover it, see if he had enough money for a new set of glasses all together... And without insurance, that was going to be quite a chunk of change.

She'd pretty much saved his ass here.

He took them and put them on. The wobble of them was gone, there were no cracks in the lenses, there was no sign that it had been broken at all.

He did move forward, but not in anger. He wore a grin so big it wrinkled his nose as he pulled her into a quick, tight hug. After a moment, he pulled back to sign.

Thank you so much. I was afraid I'd lost them!

His shoulders shook in a silent laugh.

Maybe let me know next time just so I don't worry myself to death?

"Aim trouble, Starshine?" While her tone may come of snarky, Ashe disengaged from the fight they'd found themselves tangled in to join Juno behind cover. She was just about out of ammo anyway, plus Bob's got the rest covered in the meantime.

"—Thank you kindly." Momentarily out of harm's way, she took the opportunity to take a good look at the one who offered aid. Can't say it's expected, but welcomed nonetheless. Tentatively. After all, there's no denying how nice it was to have support around here. Not to mention how that little blaster of hers got her mildly intrigued. A gun that heals... who would've thunk it?

the twin sons of ares have no issues approaching avi after sensing he's not one with woe like most of the members of hollow heart typically do. instead they see this mortal is protected by the eye of horus emitting a invisible barrier around them.

deimos is the first to greet with a sharp grin, showing off his pointy teeth. phobos simply observes in the background as he watches his brother swim elegantly around avi in a enthusiastic manner, signalling they come in peace and wish to converse in their own way.

Surprise had Avi pausing in his tracks at the sight of the two creatures that revealed themselves. Despite the sharp teeth, there was no sign of either of them intending to attack. In fact, they seemed quite friendly, if the one swimming around him was anything to go by.

He gave a silent astonished laugh, one hand hovering near the closer one but not touching just yet. Would it be a stretch to try signing to them? Would they even understand the words from his text-to-speech app?

Nothing ventured, nothing learned, he supposed. His hands moved through a few motions.
