Jsut read the reuploded Playfight, since I hadn't read the original version (I'm a new follower asdfg) but I love it! There's no dialogue, but it flows so well! Somehow, the writing feels as playful as the scene you're describing (eg with the reader teasing/feeding him). I'm amazed. Also I know I'm probably clogging your inbox, but I wanted to give credit where credit is due ~Enby Anon
Thank you! It’s from July 2018, the nostalgia factor isn’t too high as of yet but there will be older reuploads that are basically retro submissive-bangtan 😄 Yeah, the concept is the same as in Pump Jack in terms of dialogue. I sometimes overtly rely on speech so I write without it here and there as to practice description & plot instead. Especially when the landscape of the fic is vast and empty with literally nothing going on. In Pump Jack it’s the desert, in Playfight you have the cliffs and island plateau. I feel like too much talk would disturb the nature there.
I can highly recommend it as an exercise for authors. That’s also how you get to match the tone of the word with what’s happening a lot better. Playfight is a fic about farming so it’s gotta be more tactile. Compare Boss Witch where volatile magic and sexual ecstasy are involved, I figured the writing has to be cryptic even when it’s extremely visceral.
